Amazon Web Services (AWS) | June 2022 - April 2023
Visual/brand designer for the AWS Hexagon Design System. Designed customizable UI components, patterns, and detailed layout specs specialized for use in Low Code/No Code applications, leading to an immediate increase in Engineering output.
Supported non-visual design business goals across Product, Design, and Engineering to maintain schedule. Examples are: managing the UI team’s project intakes and timelines, interpreting product requirements, advising Product and Engineering teams, wireframing new features, writing spec documentation, and building functional hi-fidelity prototypes for user-testing.
Supported Low Code/No Code org as Subject Matter Expert for AWS-based design system implementation and usage guidance.
Conducted user research and audits in collaboration with Lead UX Researcher on visual branding, UI workspace navigation, and accessibility standards.
Mentored as a peer advisor for UX, Engineering, and Product Management teams as a design review specialist within the Amazon Design Community.

Lead UI designer for the new-to-market development, launch, and implementation of the AWS Vega Design System, featuring components and patterns targeted for use in enterprise-grade Business Intelligence applications. My work was adopted in orgs supporting critical AWS services as a way to create a more universal visual customer experience.
Lead visual/brand designer for QuickSight’s ML-powered search mechanism. Work presented by Amazon CEO for Reinvent 2022 keynote.
Designed customizable workspace UI’s for QuickSight, an AWS-based data visualization dashboard tool.
Collaborated with Engineering and Product Management teams on design redlines, hand-off’s, demo sessions, and Q&A’s for component builds.
Organized project timelines and workflow efficiencies in collaboration with Product Management and team leadership.

Lead visual designer for the new-to-market unstructured data management and storage monitoring application, Dell DataIQ.
Owned interaction and visual design for conceptual customer-facing project sponsored by the Office of the CTO.
Directed and designed the brand-new Skyline Design System, developed for accessibility and complex, data-centric UI’s.
Supported component and pattern library for Dell Design System, specializing in high-contrast “dark mode” themes and enterprise-grade user interfaces.
Collaborated in a five-month competitor analysis project alongside Lead UX Researcher that serves as a standard reference across Dell’s Experience Innovation Group.

I owned concept work and production of the full-line launch of the Calm Redness Relief collection. My responsibilities included leading monthly promo designs, product photo shoots, press checks, and competitive email marketing campaigns in support of an industry-leading research and evidence-driven skincare brand.
